A Brand New Year. 2009. Ji Chou.

here's to a brand new year. 2009. the year of the ox. heres what the internet has to say about it...

"The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. As one might guess, such people are dependable, calm, and modest. Like their animal namesake, the Ox is unswervingly patient, tireless in their work, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint. "

Assuming that we apply these descriptors to what we know about our fearless (most would say worthless) leaders at delta regional, and the institution as a whole, the following must then be true.... (hold on, this isnt an "if","then" equation like math class!)

1. powerful sign: nope. nobody acknowledges their "power." power perceived is power achieved.
2. born leaders: negative
3. quite dependable: only thing you can depend on is worthlessness
4. possessing the ability to achieve great things: ha- although i suppose ruining that hospital is pretty impressive destruction!
5. dependable, calm, modest: whatever.
6. capable of enduring hardship without complaint: no, actually that is what their expectations are. work the tail off, no complaining!

Now, I know that this custom is to be characteristics of people born to this symbol. I guess I may be a little hopeful that 2009 will be the year of rebirth for DRMC, starting at the yop and going downward, instead of the other way around. Build a hospital with the chinese characteristics and that will be an accomplishment worthy of recognizing. anything else, including what that place is now, is barely worth mentioning.
